Carbon is the basic building block of life and the central pillar of Row Two of the Periodic Table. Here it represents the point at which the child is committed to emerging from the safety of the womb into the unknown, a scenario which can be seen to replay itself throughout life as we face new challenges and situations.
We are generally familiar with the passive bland non-reactive type of carbons such as Carbo veg and Graphites. Other carbons, not so well known, can be driven types, with mental excitement, rapid thought and loquacity.
Here is an unprecedented chance to deepen our knowledge of the characteristics of important carbon remedies often seen in practice but potentially missed. Roger Morrison’s book "Carbons, Hydrocarbons and Organic Chemicals in Homeopathy" has vitalized many a practice and with this rare visit from these two respected teachers we shall have an opportunity to reap the benefit of the extensive experience gained whilst compiling that work.
We shall look at:
· Row Two of the Periodic Table with video clips from cured cases to put the carbon remedies in context.
· The main characteristics of carbon remedies as a group, again using clips from cases.
· The characteristics of the various sub-groups of carbon remedies (Alcohols, terpenes, nitrates, etc.)
· Full cases of various carbon remedies to help in differentiating between the various groups and specific remedies.
Both Roger and Nancy have also contributed other important works to the homeopathic community: Nancy, authoring "Animal Minds, Human Voices and Sacred Plants", "Human Voices"; Roger: the "Desktop Guide" and the "Desktop Companion".
